About Shaykh Muhammad Saleem Dhorat

Shaykh Muhammad Saleem Dhorat is the son of Hafidh Ibrahim Dhorat, one of Leicester’s first and longest-serving Imams. In 1980, Maulana Saleem enrolled at Darul Uloom Al-Arabiyyah Al-Islamiyyah in Bury, which was then the only institute of its kind in the UK. After graduating with distinction, he remained there for five years as a lecturer, teaching subjects such as Usul al-Shashi, Hidayatun Nahw, Mirqat, Hidayah, and Riyad al-Salihin.

In 1991, he established the Islamic Da’wah Academy in Leicester, dedicated to educating and inspiring people, particularly the youth, in understanding Islam.
