Returns and cancellations

Changing your mind, and what to do if something arrives damaged.

Changing your mind

For a purchase agreed at a distance, tell us within 14 days of receiving your books if you wish to cancel, then send them back within a further 14 days. Email subkibooks@gmail.com or use our Telegram messaging option, quoting your order reference.

You pay the return postage when you change your mind and there is no problem with the books. We do not charge a restocking fee.

Sending books back

Please contact us before posting so we can match the return to your order. Our return address is As-Subkī Books, 2 Atkinson Street, Leicester, LE5 3QA, United Kingdom.

Pack the books securely. You may inspect them as you would in a shop; if handling beyond that reduces their value, we may deduct that loss from the refund.

Refunds

For a cancelled order, we refund the books and the standard outward delivery charge. If you chose a more expensive delivery option, the extra cost is not refunded. We issue the refund within 14 days of receiving the books back or evidence that you sent them, whichever is earlier, using the original payment method unless we agree another method with you.

If something is wrong

If a book is faulty or damaged, the wrong book was sent, or a set is missing a volume, contact us with your order reference and details of the problem. We cover necessary return postage for a confirmed fault or our mistake and arrange an appropriate remedy, such as a replacement, refund or agreed partial refund. Your rights for faulty or incorrect goods are separate from the change-of-mind return period.

Collection

Collecting an order does not by itself change the return rules: the change-of-mind period above applies if the purchase was agreed at a distance. If you only reserve online and decide to buy after inspecting the books in person, contact us about any change-of-mind return. Faulty or incorrect goods are still covered.
