A bookshop that runs on conversation
As-Subkī Books stocks 226 titles - classical Arabic texts, the Dars Nizami and Maktab syllabus, hadith, fiqh, tafsir and children's readers. Most of what we carry is difficult to find on the high street and expensive to import one copy at a time, so we buy in quantity and pass the price on.
Ordering, step by step
1. Build your basket
Browse or search the catalogue and add what you need. Stock counts on the site are live.
2. Send your request
Give us your name, email and whether you want delivery or collection. You will get an itemised confirmation straight away with a reference number such as ASB-4F7K.
3. Your books are held for 48 hours
Nobody else can request the same copies while we reply. If we do not hear back within two days the hold lapses and the books return to the shelf - nothing is charged and there is nothing to cancel.
4. We send payment details
We reply with the total including postage and how to pay. Once payment clears we post the books and confirm by email.
Why you cannot pay on the website
We keep the shop small and the prices low, and card processing would add a fee to every order. So payment is arranged directly with us instead.No card or bank details are ever entered on this website.If a page ever asks you for them, it is not us.
