Ascent to Felicity

Written by the eminent 11th-century Ḥanafī scholar, Abū ’l-Ikhlāṣ al-Shurunbulālī, Ascent to Felicity is a concise yet comprehensive primer on ʿaqīdah (creed) and fiqh (jurisprudence). The text covers all five pillars of Islām, as well as topics such as slaughtering, ritual sacrifice, and hunting.

To enhance understanding, the translator has provided key explanatory notes drawn from several reliable works on theology and jurisprudence. Appendices include numerous supplications related to the five pillars, presented in Arabic script with English transliteration, as well as guidance on the etiquette of visiting the Messenger of Allāh (Sallallāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam) in Madīnah.
