Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim – Complete English Translation

Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim by Imām Muslim ibn al-Ḥajjāj رحمه الله is universally recognised as one of the most authentic collections of Prophetic ḥadīth, second only to Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī in its standing among the major ḥadīth collections. This monumental work is an essential reference for students of Ḥadīth, ʿUlamāʾ and anyone seeking to deepen their understanding of the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

This comprehensive English translation, published by Dārussalām, has been carefully reviewed to provide clear, accessible and reliable renderings of the original Arabic aḥādīth. Particular attention has been given to accuracy and clarity, with explanatory phrases in brackets and helpful footnotes provided where necessary to clarify difficult terms and meanings.

The edition begins with a biographical account of Imām Muslim رحمه الله, followed by his own introduction to Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, in which he discusses the principles of ḥadīth transmission and the varying levels of reliability among narrators. This provides valuable context for understanding the methodology behind this celebrated collection.

An excellent resource for English-speaking readers wishing to study one of the most important works of Prophetic ḥadīth.
