A Commentary of Jami At- Tirmidhi: Chapters of the Adhan

One of the most iconic symbols of Islam, the adhān-the call to Ṣalāh-is instantly recognisable to Muslims and non-Muslims alike across the world. For the first time, this subject is explored in all its nuance and depth through the lens of Imām Muḥammad ibn ʿĪsā al-Tirmidhī’s Sunan, complete with the original Arabic text and translation.

The many legal and theological issues related to the adhān are examined using the classical disciplines of ḥadīth, jurisprudence, and Qur’ānic exegesis.
